Every stone is D color (the highest color grade; completely colorless) and VVS1 clarity (inclusions visible only under 10x magnification by a trained gemologist). Total carat weight: 1.5ct, distributed evenly across the front half of the chain so the stones catch light from every angle. **Why 18k gold:** 18k is 75% pure gold, compared to 14k at 58.3%. It has a warmer, richer yellow tone and a heftier feel. It costs more because there's more gold in it — not because of a markup. The Constellation is made from solid 18k throughout the chain and pavé settings. **About pavé setting:** Pavé (French for "paved") uses tiny prongs to hold each stone, creating an almost continuous surface of diamond. The technique requires a master setter and is what separates this piece from volume manufacturing. Each of the 22 diamonds on the Constellation is hand-set. **How to wear it:** The chain sits at collarbone length in 18", which is ideal for solo wear with an open neckline. For layering, the 20" falls over a crew-neck and pairs with the Dewdrop Pendant worn shorter.
